BuildASoil products come with a 60-day guarantee from the date of purchase.

If something is wrong on our end

If an item is defective, damaged, or we made a mistake, there is no restocking fee and we cover return shipping. Contact us with photos and your order number and we will make it right.

If you change your mind

• You can return unopened items in their original packaging.
• A restocking fee of 15% or $5, whichever is greater, is taken out of your refund.
• Return shipping is your responsibility. If we send you a prepaid return label, its cost comes out of your refund.
• Refunds go back to your original payment method and can take up to 10 business days.

How to start a return

Contact us before you send anything back, through our contact page or the chat button on any page. Include your order number, the item, and the reason for the return.

Items that cannot be returned

• Used or opened items
• 1 yard totes
• Special orders and custom mixes
• Items shipped directly from the manufacturer, unless the manufacturer approves the return
• Nursery plants, worms, and beneficial insects
• Bargain and broken bag items
